Maine’s chief justice said a review of court records in the state indicates that there are no problems of “secret dockets” or improperly sealed records. However Justice Leigh Saufley said the state’s decentralized records system without a centralized docket that can be computer searched for hidden cases makes it impossible to be certain. (12/10/07)
