Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley is investigating the 2005 refusal of Falmouth officials to release records on police discipline requested by the Cape Cod Times, which was investigating tensions within the department. Subsequently, nine officers filed discrimination complaints against the town. The Secretary of State’s Office, which repeatedly advised the town to make the information public, turned to matter over to the AG. (5/14/07)
