Double your donation to RCFP with a matching gift
Did you know that many employers offer a matching-gift program to encourage charitable giving among their employees? Some companies also match gifts for spouses, retirees, and part-time employees. Learn more about this simple process to amplify your contribution to the Reporters Committee below.
The Reporters Committee’s matching-gift program provides an easy way to increase the impact of your donation through your employer. When you make a contribution to protect press freedom, your employer can double or even triple the value of your donation — putting more resources to work defending journalists and the First Amendment.

How it works
Step 1: Search in this form for your employer to determine eligibility and identify its corporate matching-gift program. If you don’t see your company name, talk to your human resources administrator. If there is a matching-gift opportunity, the HR office can likely provide information and the necessary paperwork.
Step 2: Complete your company’s requirements. Most employers have a minimum/matching donation amount that needs to be submitted after making the gift. Search for your employer for those details. You will need your paper or emailed receipt!
Step 3: After the paperwork is complete, your company sends its matching gift to the Reporters Committee following verification. And $100 becomes $200, or $500 becomes $1,000 — or even more — to support legal protections for journalists!
