Five media representatives told the House Natural Resources Committee that a proposed new Interior Department rule on permits and fees for photography in national parks and on other public lands could be used to chill news reports and documentaries on controversial issues. They said the language of the rule is so imprecise it could be used to block unfavorable reporting on park issues. (12/12/07)
