Connecticut police have had a New Jersey blogger and Internet radio host arrested and jailed in response to politically extreme statements he posted about two Connecticut officials. 

According to The Associated Press, Harold “Hal” Turner, angered by a new bill the two lawmakers had proposed dealing with Catholic parishes, called out to his Catholic readers in Connecticut to “take up arms and put down this tyranny by force." Turner has waived extradition to Connecticut, according to the AP. His lawyer, Michael Orozco, told the wire service that “the case is about freedom of speech.”
