The Albany Times Union sued New York legislative leaders in an effort to find out which members did the divvying of $170 million in pork barrel appropriations. The suit says the Senate majority leader and the Assembly speaker violated the law when they refused to release information on the allocation of “member items’ in awarding the money. (7/12/06)
