A federal judge in New York told the city it must disclose field intelligence reports by undercover investigators who infiltrated protest groups at the 2004 Republican National Convention and built dossiers on members as part of an effort to head off violence and disruptions. But Judge James C. Francis IV agreed to the deletion of information that would identify the officers and informants. (8/7/07)
