Tom Boney says his Alamance News is not a “fluffy-wuffy community newspaper,” which means, among other things, that the North Carolina publisher likes a good freedom of information fight. Boney, who just walked away from a trespassing charge brought when he refused to leave an Airport Authority meeting, has both sued and been sued by local officials trying to keep records meetings closed. So far, he’s prevailed on all counts. (7/23/07)
