Concluding a two year study, the Ohio Supreme Court proposed new rules on access to court documents.  It’s the first time a public records policy for the Ohio courts has been ut in writing.  Chief Justice Thomas Moyer said the new rules favor openness where possible. One of the rules would open non-sensitive portions of sealed court files. Another provides for redaction of personal information before documents are officially filed. A public comment period closed Dec. 19.  (11/19/07)
