Demanding FOIA Requester’s Name Costs Ohio Township $10,000 A township 15 miles each of Columbus, Ohio has agreed to pay $10,000 in legal fees to one John Q. Public, who was ordered from the township when he requested a public record but would only identify himself as “concerned citizen.” Trustees agreed in the settlement that state law does not require a requester identify himself.
