Rudy Giuliani was hardly the open book he claims to have been as New York’s mayor, the Associated Press reports, noting that when he left he took more than 2,000 boxes of official records with him rather than turning the documents over to the city archives. ”It is an unblemished record for secrecy,” said Eve Burton, who as counsel for the New York Daily News took on the Giuliani administration more than 100 times in an effort to get city records.
