The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press and 25 news organizations and open government groups urged the U.S. District Court in Delaware to recognize the public interest in monopoly laws involving two microprocessor makers and not approve a protective order that would keep important facts in the case confidential. The letter brief said courts must “always consider the public interest when deciding whether to impose a protective order.” (12/05/05)
