An Associated Press FOIA request to the District of Columbia has confirmed that administrative law judge Roy L. Pearson will lose his seat on the bench at the end of his term in May. 

Pearson brought the now infamous $54 million dollar lawsuit against a D.C. dry cleaner for losing a pair of his pants.  The self-represented Pearson claimed damages for the missing pants, mental anguish and attorney’s fees.   In June, D.C. Superior Court Judge Judith Bartnoff ruled against Pearson and found in favor of the cleaners.
