Pennsylvania House Approves Open Records Reform Bill

The Pennsylvania House unanimously approved and returned to the Senate a bill overhauling the state’s open records law. The House bill makes a number of changes in the original bill approved by the Senate but the legislation’s sponsor said he supports the revision. However media representatives said they were concerned about a last minute amendment that appears to block public access to records with identifying information of anyone under 17. (2/12/08)
