The Pennsylvania Supreme Court temporarily suspended a judge’s $1,000-a-day fine on Lancaster Newspapers Inc. for refusing to turn over to the attorney general the hard drives on two reporters’ computers. The attorney general is leading a statewide grand jury investigation into whether a county coroner gave a newspaper reporter the password to a restricted law-enforcement website. (9/5/06)
