Sometimes, FOIA can help you in life or death situations. Like knowing what to do if you’re on your way to Mars and the guy in the next seat keels over dead. The Associated Press filed a FOIA request with NASA for its guidance on practical and ethical health problems raised by deep space exploration. The document makes no mention of sex issues, however. That, said a spokesman, is a behavioral problem, not a bioethicists matter. Guess that’s another FOIA request. (5/2/07)
