Fifty open government advocates and advocate organizations has asked President Bush to have federal agencies post full information about Hurricane Katrina relief and reconstruction financing and contracts on the Internet. The letter says the rapid spending of more than $60 billion provides many opportunities for waste and fraud that require broad oversight – oversight that public posting of the information will facilitate.
