There are all kinds of ways to deny information. In his 2007 budget, President Bush proposes an 80 percent cut in funding for the library network maintained by the Environmental Protection Agency. That’s a resource that provides electronic and paper documents on environmental matters not available anywhere else. The EPA Library funding will be slashed from $2.5 million to $500,000. (3/15/06)
