Rep. Brad Sherman, D-CA., introduced a bill to create a 16-member commission to investigate delays in processing Freedom of Information Act requests and make recommendations to Congress. The commission, to be staffed by the Comptroller General’s office, would have one year to report its findings. (1/22/07)
