The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press and the Radio-Television News Directors Association each sent letters to new Chief Justice John Roberts asking him and the court to expand electronic coverage the high courts proceedings. They noted that the successful use of cameras in state courts and that numerous studies have shown that their presence does not impede the judicial process.
