Reporters’ Shield bills have been filed in both the Massachusetts House and Senate by Rep. Alice H. Peisch and Sen. Cynthia S. Creem. The identical bills would provide protection against compelled disclosure of news sources. The legislation has been endorsed by the Massachusetts Newspaper Publishers Assocdiation, which helped draft the bills. (1/16/07)
