The annual report of the Sandia National Laboratories is being withheld by the National Nuclear Security Administration, apparently in an effort to protect information considered sensitive but unclassified. The report has been made available in the past on request but the agency began slowing release and heavily redacting copies in 2003. The Albuquerque Journal said it requested a copy of the report, completed Nov. 2. An agency spokeswoman said the document was still under review to see what could be made public. (1/26/07)
