South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford signed into law a ban on disclosure of the names of those who have permits to carry concealed weapons. There are more than 61,000 permit holders in the state. Gov. Sanford, who has said in the past he considers permitting itself an infringement on individual rights, said he felt the right to bear arms out weighed the importance of government transparency.
