The Senate Judiciary Committee approved the Sunshine in Courtroom Act, which would permit cameras and audio recording devices in federal courtrooms. A similar bill has passed the House. The Senate bill would not allow filming of jurors and would leave the decision on whether cameras would be allowed to the discretion of the individual judges. (3/10/08)
