State Department Blocking Iraqi Corruption Probe, Rep. Waxman Says

Rep. Henry Waxman, D-CA, urged Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to halt interference with the House Government Reform Committee’s inquiries into corruption in Iraq. Waxman said state department officials had been directed not to talk with Congress unless the information was treated as classified, that Iraqi contractor Blackwater had been directed not to provide documents unless cleared by the department, and that Rice had refused to testify.
