Saying they need to set an example, the county supervisors in Tucson scheduled a closed meeting to get briefed on… well, open meetings. The purpose is to brief them on the fine points of the state law, which allows discussion of legal matters behind closed doors. Said one supervisor, “It seems to me that it’s not entirely inappropriate to have this in executive session, but it’s not like any state secrets are going to come out.” (12/29/05)
