Washington Gov. Chris Gregorie appointed Seattle City Attorney Tom Carr to chair the state’s new Sunshine Commission even though Carr has a reputation for supporting the city’s efforts to close records. The 13 member commission is charged with reviewing the 300 open records exemption laws now on the books. (8/20/07)
