Even though a third of the state’s government agencies failed to honor public records requests during a statewide audit last fall, The Tennessee Coalition for Open Government says it is encouraged. Coalition Director Frank Gibson believes at least some of the non-compliance was the result of ignorance of the law and says several government employee groups have asked about training workshops.
