A committee of the Tennessee legislature pulled back on an earlier decision to make it easier for city and county commissions to meet privately, but still went too far for open government advocates. The panel changed the open meetings law it is revising to require any meeting of a quorum, or four or more members, whichever is fewer, to be open. (11/14/07)
