Texas Governor’s E-Mails: Now the Issue Is Cost

The Texas governor’s office has told John Washburn it will cost about $2,300 a month to get a look at office e-mails.  That the cost of staff time required to collect the e-mails, send then to counsel for review, then make a CD each week.  Washburn, a Wisconsin blogger, inserted himself in the Texas controversy when the goverrnor’s office said it planned to purge all e-mails after a week. Meanwhile, Washburn has sent a complaint to the Attorney General about the charges and a check to the governor for $2.  (11/28/07)
