There’s Little New in CIA’s Release of Historical Data

The CIA’s “new” release of several declassified histories of clandestine operations may be less than it appears. A close inspection of the released documents by Secrecy News shows that the “new” release is hardly that – there’s not much if anything new – in fact the agency reclassified some information in the documents that had been released previously.   The Federation of American Scientists asked the Information Security Oversight Office to investigate the matter.  (12/6/07)
