The Concord Monitor and the New Hampshire Union Leader have challenged a judge’s decision to close a court hearing in the case of convicted rapist who faces additional imprisonment under a new state sexual predator law, which allows New Hampshire to hold violent sexual offenders for up to five years after the end of their initial sentence if they are deemed to still be sexually violent.
