Washington State Gov. Chris Gregorie signed into law a bill that makes public the fees paid attorneys by government agencies. The legislation was prompted by a sexual harassment case that cost Thurston County $6 million. Records, when finally released, showed the settlement award was only $1.5 million of the total.
