The City of Tacoma has settled out of court with a Washington newspaper after the city was accused of violating the state’s open meetings laws, The News Tribune reported.

The City of Tacoma recently paid The News Tribune $7,500 for attorney’s fees after it allegedly appointed two City Council members in closed meetings. The payment marked the end of the lawsuit.
