One county in Washington state is removing access to 61 types of documents from the Internet because of concerns over identity theft. “There is a public perception that individuals are getting this information from our Web site and then committing identity theft,” said Auditor Carolyn Diepenbrock, although she added that she did not know of a single, specific case of that happening.
