A Marine sergeant who pleaded guilty to “mishandling” sensitive information said he was motivated by patriotism and a frustration that vital sensitive terrorist information wasn’t being shared with local law enforcement officers heading terrorism task forces. “I decided to make a difference,” said Sgt. Gary Maziarz at a court-martial in July, the San Diego Tribune reported. (10/9/07)
