Whistleblower suits resulted in $1.3 billion in fraud recoveries in fiscal 2006, the Justice Department said in reporting a record total of $3.1 in recoveries during the year. More than two-third of the total recovered came from health care companies. About one-fifth came from the defense industry. (11/22/06)
