Rep. Henry Waxman, D-CA, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said in a letter to the President’s legal counsel that there is evidence the White House has routinely blocked inspections on the handling of classified information and otherwise ignored classified security requirements. Waxman said he was ready to subpoena White House officials if arrangements could not be made for interviews by the committee. (6/26/07)
