Beyond Pepsi: USA Today photog captures Denver protest scene

Michelle Obama may have held the national spotlight in Denver yesterday, but USA Today videographer Garrett Hubbard captured some pretty harrowing scenes on the streets outside the Pepsi Center between protesters and riot gear-clad police.

Among the chants and batons, linked arms and sirens, you can see around the 1:30-mark that Hubbard himself got a little "roughed up," as USA Today puts it. Also note the scads of other cameras and video recorders capturing the drama — be they held by professional journalists or not.
