An ABC producer was arrested Wednesday while trying to film Democratic officials and corporate donors from a sidewalk outside a Denver hotel, the network said.
Asa Eslocker can be seen in video footage of the incident being escorted by an officer from the sidewalk into a street. Two hours after that clip was shot, the network said, the hotel apparently called the authorities back to the scene and Eslocker was arrested. He was charged with trespass, interference and failure to follow a lawful order.
Late Wednesday, Eslocker posted $500 bond and was released.
The Reporters Committee has set up convention hotlines in Denver and St. Paul for reporters who face similar problems.
