AIPAC Judge Invokes "Silent Witness Rule" to Hear Sensitive Information
The presiding judge in the trial to two former AIPAC lobbyists accused of disclosing classified information ruled that sensitive information could be introduced using the so-called “silent witness rule” in which some evidence and testimony is presented to the parties and the judge and jury but withheld or obscured from court observers and the public. The evidence that will be allowed in this manner is detailed in a separate, sealed order. (11/6/07)
