Within hours of the friendly fire death in Afghanistan of Cpl. Pat Tillman, an NFL star, the Army was in an information lockdown. Phone and Internet connections were cut off at the base. A captain ordered a noncommissioned officer to burn Corporal Tillman’s uniform. (4/23/07)
