The editor of a weekly newspaper in Kentucky is in hot water after publishing a juvenile murder suspect’s photo, which was taken through the door of a closed courtroom, The Associated Press reports.

Public Defender Susanne McCollough filed a criminal complaint against George Lewis, editor of The Interior-Journal, claiming he "violated the confidentiality of a juvenile court proceeding" when he took and then ran her client’s photo.  Juvenile court proceedings are closed in Kentucky, according to the AP.

Lewis is due for an arraignment Friday. His attorneys have moved to dismiss the complaint, saying the statute to which McCollough refers doesn’t apply to members of the public, and is "unconstitutionally vague and overbroad," anyway, the AP reports.
