Exam Results? The Real Test Is Finding Out Who Did the Grading

A private company hired by the Florida Department of Education to administer the Comprehensive Assessment Test given students won’t release the names of those it hires to grade the examinations. The query came from a legislator who learned graders were being recruited at $10-an-hour. But the company said the names are proprietary information that “would be of significant commercial value to our competitors.” (4/17/06)
