The Federal Emergency Management Agency will have to reimburse several Florida newspapers $105,000 in legal fees for its refusal to provide records of $1.2 billion in disaster relief grants following storms in 2004. “The amount speaks for itself. It’s a victory for the First Amendment,” said Chuck Tobin, attorney for the Ft. Myers News Press, the Pensacola News Journal and Florida Today. (12/14/07)
