The Federal Emergency Management Agency, which recently lost an federal court appeal to keep secret information on its hurricane relief grants, has notified 2.2 million disaster aid recipients that their addresses and information on the grants were given to newspapers that sued the agency. FEMA also said it planned to withhold similar information in the future. The newspapers sued for the information after reports of widespread fraud in the awarding of the grants. (8/17/07)
