Former White House Counsel John Dean says in an interview in the Boston Globe that he’s deeply troubled by the growth in government secrecy in the Bush Administration. “There’s a reason for that secrecy; it’s because you don’t want people to know what . . . you’re doing. It’s not because you’re trying to gain presidential powers; it’s because you don’t want people to know what you’re doing with those powers,” he said.
