The Justice Department agreed in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit to begin releasing internal legal memos on the administration’s warrantless wiretapping program. The lawsuit was brought by the National Security Archive, the American Civil Liberties Union and the Electronic Privacy Information Center. “There are real secrets and convenient secrets.
