The Gwinnett School Board authorized about $40 million in new school construction in the last year in meetings never open to the public. “We do not feel like we are pulling the wool over anyone’s eyes,” said board Vice Chairman Carole Boyce told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “We want the public to know about it. And we let them know about it, after we’ve bought the land.” (10/17/07)
