A judge in Mississippi ruled that the Biloxi Sun Herald could not have access to the videotape of a jailhouse beating until after the matter goes to trial. The right to a fair trial trumps all the the First Amendment rights you may have,” Chief Magistrate Judge John M. Roper said. The video is expected to be used in the trial of four jailers for violating the civil rights of Harrison County inmates. (6/26/07)
